Of course there are. I believe this is one of the main arguments made by the Nation of Islam, for instance (arguing that Islam was the prior religion of Africans enslaved in the Americas, which is true for at least some). That would not be an improvement to us however, and in any case many Africans were converted to Islam by slavery as well.

I come through, I usually don't say much but ya know, Merry f***&(*&Xmass.  Hehe, I cannot hide my disgust with part time jesus folks. merry this, bless that... anyhow, for those who are, like myself, kind of a family secret during the holidays,....
