I have heard this crap my whole life and almost exclusively from black people can I help it that I attended private school and learned to speak the English language and missed out on a lot of the ghetto slang my black friends picked up in public school. I think the thing that bothers me most is I have been singled out for not conforming to a bunch of negative stereo types oh well that's just life I guess.

Society tries to repress people who have their own personalities to fit the standard, the norm, one is a copy of the other, that way the men in power can keep us under control. They don't want exceptional individuals, they dislike and reject the ones who dare to be themselves in a world ruled by fascists whom control the media, news, fashion, art, and literature.. We are only puppets. The guy in the video acknowledges this in his statement.

i hear this all the time as a black freethinker. I love to know there's more people who disagree with "the proper way to be black"

Well, I think we can all agree that the 'majority' of white people act 'differently' than the 'majority' of black people. Whether positively or negatively can be debated, but I have noticed that this 'you act white' is sort of either a dis / insult / or a retaliation amongst the black communities themselves because they see something wrong / abnormal with a black person like Obama, who if you listened to on the radio, would have absolutely no idea of the color of his skin. Or just an every day black person who articulates and dresses like the majority of white people may dress. And anyone who says that the majority of white people and the majority of black people don't dress 'differently' is ignoring reality in my opinion. But should black people be compared to white people by their black peers? Absolutely not, and it goes to show that even black people notice the difference and I get the strange feeling....that they are trying to prevent themselves from assimilating because they view the white folk as something other than a positive influence on the advancement of the black race in this country.
