Johann Hari calls for the arrest of Pope Benedict.

He reads part of a memo that Ratzinger himself sent out to every Catholic bishop in the world that says, "Cases of child abuse should be dealt with in the most secretive way, restrained by perpetual silence, and everybody is to observe the strictest secret."

A Vatican lawyer, Father Tom Doyle, said it was intended to make people NOT go to the police.

Can we end the supernatural mafia already?

The Pope is responsible for told, and as of yet the untold suffering of perhaps hundreds of thousands of people who suffered through sexual misuse as children at the filthy hands and penises of the purveyors of filth known as priests.

How many children over the years might have been spared the dehumanizing ordeal of having to slake the inflamed lust of priests if only Ratzinger had turned each and every one of his paedophile priests over to the police instead of encouraging the paedophilia by moving the child rapists to another parish with a whole new fresh batch of children for them to rape. Ratzinger played a shell game by shuffling the deck using sleight of hand, and whenever you catch a double dealer you have to of course insure that he neve gets the chance to shuffle the deck again. He deserves worse than modern courts can deliver, but in a civilized society, the least we can hope is that he is grilled in open court where all the facts will be laid bare for the world to see and that he will ultimately be jailed for an extremely long period of time if found guilty.

The part of the discussion in this video regarding the celibacy of priests is not an issue we should be concerned about. The violation of the rape laws is the issue and the conspiracy to try and hide it. In point of fact, the government cannot weigh-in on the question of priest celibacy, because that is the church's policy and their business. The violation of secular laws are the government's business and they need to be about it, starting with the issuance of warrants for the arrest of the rapist perpetrators, as well as the conspirators who tried to cover-up their crimes.

Thanks for posting this video.
