Comment by james d. jester on April 18, 2012 at 2:52pm Outrageous and inspiring! They see the force of our will!
Comment by kOrsan on April 18, 2012 at 3:00pm It would've been epic if just in between their chants of "Allah" the atheists would've yelled "Who's a bitch?!"
"Allaaah"
Comment by Grady Jean on April 18, 2012 at 3:23pm I've never been one for the outright abolishing of Religion. I'm content to let people worship as they wish. However, when their religion makes them believe they can infringe upon the rights of their fellow men and women, and when they cannot worship their gods peacefully without forcing their dogma onto other people, then a line must be drawn. Fundamentalist Islam has proven itself to be one of the most damaging religions on the planet, alongside Fundamentalist Christianity. It strips women of their rights based on their gender, and allows them to justify the murder and torture of "infidels". Such a religion cannot and should not be tolerated anywhere on the planet.
Nice to see the spirit of the Aussie submariners I met in the nineties is still alive and well.
Comment by Henry Flood on April 18, 2012 at 9:35pm There should be so many more conventions like this
Comment by Nick on April 18, 2012 at 9:59pm Ya know, peaceful protesting ( I consider angry yelling peaceful, maybe I am wrong ), holding up sings and yelling and so forth. It's good. Good for everyone here. It is way better that people do this in public than spend all their time online getting their views (possibly dumb, or harmful) reinforced in a feedback loop. And then only entering the public space to do physical harm.
It is so awesome that there are places in the world that can have this exchange can take place. And so sad that there are many other places where this would lead to violence.
Comment by Nick on April 18, 2012 at 10:04pm I realize I'm saying the above on the internet, on a website, with a group of people who will largely agree with me.
Comment by Afton Hardin on April 19, 2012 at 2:00am The little Asian guy at the end cracked me up! (Okay, the whole video did. Asian was just icing on the cake!)
Great video :)
Comment by Robert Fletcher on April 19, 2012 at 5:33am I liked the infidel chant, one thing both groups could agree on! A devout Muslim work mate once told me that I was a godless heathen, I had was proud to agree.
