Actually, monkeys have perfected this simple procedure beyond Ray's illustrated ability - checkout this video and see the correct way a banana eating primate exposes the delicious, albeit phallic, white fruit. There is an additional advantage to the monkey-method, there are no annoying string after it's peeled.
Ironically, even though we emerged from the forest 4 million years ago with our banana peeling skills intact, evolution has misfired in some of our religious cousins.

I was going to point out the correct way to eat a banana as demonstrated by chimps but it's been done. I do however like that he thinks the stem is the top of the banana, when they clearly grow upside down. If it is such a perfect food, why bother making anything else edible? Why not make the banana contain every single nutrient a body needs? Why not make it grow in every part of the world? Why not make it taste different every time we eat it so we don't get bored of it? Why do they rot after 4 days of sitting on your counter? 

 

And how the hell do they explain watermelon? So delicious yet so 'unhandleable'.
