YES! Critical thinking skills are necessary. I appreciate your post, and if everybody had a mom like you, we would have no religion at all!
I am careful to teach my grandchildren, as I did their parents, that stories and opinions are not facts. Other people never are allowed to stop you from thinking, and if they try, then they are not good to be around. May we never hear uttered again those nasty words, "because I said so!"
