The Romans were famous for their extensive recod keeping. there's no mention, not one of the jesus thing. All "historical" mentions of jeesus occur after the first gospels emerged. There really is no evidence, the deluded followers of the J guy may disagree, but those that can research it with an open mind will see that jeezuz is an amalgamum of lots of other god like creations going back to paganism. Jeebus came about as a result of wishful thinking and nothing more. The virgin birth and zombie aspects were floating around for decades before the first christians pinched and amended them for their own purpose, generations after the alleged death and zombiecation of jesus. So, it's all nonsence. By the way, if you say jesus backwards, it sounds like sausage. Yum!

What's hilarious is that his wouldn't work with the fundies that I've known because they would agree, hands down, that the women MUST have been witches - without blinking an eye.

I just listened to his interview on the Think Atheist radio and Professor M. commented that when he first proposed this argument he really didn't think anyone would "bite the bullet" on it. But, it turns out, as you mention in your comment, that some people actually have conceded that maybe there were witches in Salem, rather than reexamining their beliefs. He mentioned that he is going to devote a chapter to it in his forthcoming book project.
