Are stand up comedians anti-religious?

I love all these comedians (along with many more) and they all have the same opinion on religion. So I just started wondering if all the great stand up comedians were anti-religious and if so why?

Becuase religion is a never ending supply of great material for them to make jokes about.

I am enjoying a stint of hate mail myself regarding a sarcastic comment made in regards to the precious Jesus Christ of Christianity.  I find it rather sad that someone can make a joke about whatever subject they want, and it will never get so much disdain as one joke at the expense of religion.  Former friends I have not spoken to in years, as well as acquaintances I hardly know are suddenly jumping out of the woodwork to fight me.  Moral of the funny, so long as you do not make fun of faith. Sad.

Instead of actually being an interesting person I will sometimes just read some of the extra good bits of Leviticus to my friends for a laugh. You don't even have to try to make that material funny it is sitting there waiting for you.
