Following my examination of the introduction in the previous video of this series, I dive right into the book proper and take a look at Chapter 1 of Lee Strobel's The Case for Christ, critiquing it from an atheist's perspective.

Comment by David Missingham on January 13, 2012 at 6:23pm The argument is not whether or not some politico, who people called Jesus Christ, existed (see "Jesus The Man" Barbara Theiring 1992.) but whether the eyewitness idea has any validity. It's all hearsay and chinese whispers.
Comment by Jason on January 14, 2012 at 8:08am Exactly - Manipulative. That is Strobel in one word. Well, do you blame him? One would have to be manipulative in order to write a book titled - The Case for Christ. Half of me think he is actually an atheist posing as an evangelical author to sell books.
The other half of me thinks- If he honestly believes what he thinks to be the truth, would he throw his supposed sense of morality out the window if he discovered that Christ was not divine? Would he all the sudden become evil if he discovered Christianity is false? Is Christianity the only thing keeping this guy from running me over with his car? I think not.
