I love The Chaser, but I wish they would interview some of the American members of TA instead of the people they interviewed in the video. I think the American members of TA would make us look better than those people did.

@ all the posters below. Do you really think this is an accurate portrayal of Americans? Then you are at the same IQ level as those they interviewed. There's over 300 million people here. They interview a handful off the street (more but they probably deleted those that could answer correctly) and you post a comment "This seems about right". Screw you.

Mark, I'm pretty sure that most of the comments were left by Americans. Of course it is a skewed representation, and obviously heavily edited. But even aside from that, you cannot deny that the US generally scores well below the rest of the industrialized world in academic achievement. Here is a link to the 2006 Program for International Student Assessment, and here is a graph showing the US's ranking in the 2003 PISA math assessment.

So even though the video is edited for comedic effect, it is not wholly inaccurate.

@Mark I think you are taking a few offhanded comments about a silly and, no doubt, heavily edited video a little too seriously. I don't think the average American is stupid. I think too many are overly ignorant of the world outside their local community, state, or country.
