It confirms what I had heard for a long time. First about O'Reilly. He went to school with Howard Stern.

Stern stated along time ago that O'Reilly had concocted the persona he portrays. Unbelievable but the same is true for Rush Limbaugh who Stern knew from his not so famous days. These guys hit on a formula that caters to the ignorant and found out nothing sells like fear mongering and they rode that stuff to the top of their game.
Also it has been said by insiders that Rupert Murdoch has no other agenda but to make his news organization more and more successful.  If liberalism made money he would be out in front with the biggest liberal media outlet ever. The crazy thing is to watch the supposed intellectual set be as taken in by this commercial BS as the dopey  Fox audience.  They think they are in a debate while the other side is involved with a business transaction that poses as debate.  It kind of reminds me of the people who watch soap operas for so long that if they happen to see the actors walking down the street they verbally abuse them for what they are doing in the show.   It's just a show.

This is the first time I've seen Silverman speak and identified with the guy.  Don't get me wrong -- I'm sure I'd get along with him well enough at a dinner party --, but I don't align with his speaking strategy in the interviews of his I've seen so far.  It is interesting to see him get the chance to talk in a more casual, less antagonistic setting.
