So true...fear of death is a big motivator towards religion. When I was a Christian, I had a HUGE fear of death. You'd think I would have been secure in my knowledge that 'accepting Jesus' had given me a ticket to heaven, but no, I still thought there was a chance that I was going to hell no matter what I did. Christians say they have 'conquered the sting of death', but that certainly wasn't my experience.

When I finally left my religion, I overcame that fear of death and can honestly say now that death does not worry me anymore. I have a peace about it. I live everyday to the fullest and appreciate the life I have now.
