Save yourself 2 hours and a lot of facepalms... this is gist of the recent "debate" between atheist Matt Dillahunty and Christian apologist Sye Ten Bruggencate.

That's unreal! Did this guy have a reputation as a knowledgeable debater beforehand, or did he just come out 100% stupid and blindside everyone? It seems like all the parties should have known what they'd be getting into before agreeing to this charade.
Bruggencate has been relentlessly challenging Matt to debate him for years. Matt knows full well how ignorant (and dishonest) the guy is. But I guess he decided "Fuck it. I'll spank him once, and then I won't have to hear from him anymore."
Such ignorance. Revelation my ass
I was doing actual face-palms, even with the abridged version.
Matt quoted Bertrand Russell "...the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt". I had never heard that quote before but I sure can relate to it in my own life. On so many issues or topics I find that most atheists, myself included, do not make definitive claims which are not supported by at least a reasonable shred of evidence, data or proof. We obviously have certain biases based upon our own human experience but I applaud the fact that we strive to be accurate and fair in our claims. As Matt mentions, Sye claims to know the absolute truth due to a special friend that tells him what is true. How convenient, arrogant and closed to seeking the truth can one man be? My experience tells me that there are plenty more (millions I dare say) that share that say cocksure belief in something on bad unsupported evidence.
