That otherwise rational people can be this deeply indoctrinated demonstrates how insidious the Christian religion is.  An astrophysicist who believes the Earth is only 6000 years old is bat shit crazy.

"God has made my mind, God has made the universe. I would 'EXPECT' these things to go together." Everything he is saying is nothing more than wishful thinking, and contradictory to everything he knows. My guess is that the fear of eternal damnation has him awake at night.
