Certainty came and sat on the wall
Certainty's core beliefs had a fall
By claiming that god commanded us all
But that was when our world was small

It's too bad our first explanations are our worst
Because they still live on as a curse
Supporting liberty unless it offends the church
Because Jesus, not speech, protected first

You can't grow as an individual
If you're a mold of a story twice told
Don't be.

The idea is to die young at as old as possible
Not to die just to become immortal
You can pray and believe in the rituals
But it won't make eternity available

Death will come and you'll no longer sing
He'll take you with the hands that take away all kings
If your happiness comes from all your tiny things
Then you'll never know what you're missing

May you live without regrets
May your deeds be effortless
Like a sage who knows pleasantness
And may your worst be your best
