It shames me to know that one day I believed in that stuff! But it's certainly very hard to leave mormonism, they fill you with a lot of fear and threats. When I had my request for the name removal from the church records, the bishop came to my house and started asking me a whole bunch of questions about my moral behaviour. He wanted to excommunicate me for something I may have done, so the church could account one more 'lost black sheep'.
