You're welcome. The Monkey Wrench Gang is definitely next on my list of books to read. I can't remember if it was that book I read about or one of the environmentalist groups Abbey inspired, but who was it that made fake cracks on dams as a sign of protest? I'm writing a story that had a similar idea where (to make a long story short) there are a couple activists trying to decide whether or not to actually blow up some dams. They do a couple test runs by painting a few dams to look like they'd been destroyed (ie, painting a waterfall through a crack.) It's a work in progress but hopefully it turns out. What kind of stuff do you do to spread the word, so to speak?
Interesting. I'll see what the library has of his and place an order. Derrick Jensen is... not a pacifist, shall we say? He's not the best writer but he has some interesting ideas like:
I haven't actually read any Edward Abbey but I recently read something (A Reenchanted World) that talked about The Monkey Wrench Gang quite a bit. I take it Abbey is worth reading? What about Derrick Jensen?
Pretty much everything in your About Me section tells me you'd enjoy Daniel Quinn. Start with his "Ishmael" and go from there. Your library should have it but I suspect you'll want to own your own copy anyway. Let me know what you think of it if you read it. Nice to meet you.

Yes, that's it! :) Anyhow, please read "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn. I'm quite positive you'll love it.
