It is nice to meat you too Michael. Yuma, yuck, if hell existed that would be it's lobby :P Not all of AZ looks like a wasteland. You look at the state as a whole it has a variety environments. I have a high respect for our men and women in the armed forces (former navy man myself) I salute you :)

I grew up in Tucson Arizona and currently live in Elfrida, Az (about 30 miles north of Douglas, Az). I've been a desert-rat most my life with few times living in Arkansas and once in Louisianna. I have always been fond of the southerners....quite friendly a chatty most times. My parents came from up north but moved to AZ when I was a toddler. Some do think I am from the south because of my mannerisms and friendly nature. Plus I enjoy conversation on a wide range of subjects.

I actually grew up in Florence, AL. I've been living in Savannah about six years now. My hubby is from Walnut Grove. I bet the two of you would know lots of the same people.
