Are you the gal that was on the news? Cheers to you! My husband and I saw that and thought you were being very responsible. It was incredibly irritating to hear that woman say she felt sorry for you! Why, because you're being intelligent and trying to share with other women struggling with their guilt/shame over getting an abortion that it's not something to feel guilt/shame over? I got all kinds of riled up. I also feel they tossed in your atheism just to show that, "Yup, godless people kill babies," instead of putting it into a more realistic perspective. So frustrating. Anyway, good for you!
I saw you on the front page of the Huffington Post! I just wanted to let you know that you are incredibly brave for standing up to the people who criticized your decision. It seems that many of the people who are criticizing you didn't listen to what you had to say about why you had the abortion and instead just attacked you for having an abortion. It's amazing to me that so many people can be against something that is completely legal.
Aloha Angie, thanks for all your great videos... I'm a fan...
I'm one of your many subscribers from Tube and just saw "Wasting My Time", You are too cool... A Hui Hou ("Until We Meet Again" in Hawaiian)
I can't imagine being called something so vile. I have kept my atheism secret for many years, figuring it was easier to just not draw attention to myself. Having an online outlet is helpful. My wife, parents (who have a big issue with it, since I'm going to hell now), and a few friends know. It's hard because I'm a boy scout leader for my son's troop. They don't allow atheists as leaders. I hate to give up the great times with him over this. So far, I've not been forced into anything against my own principles. Still, I do want to be completely open. I think it will help others who are silent. I'm getting there. Thanks, Angie, and keep up the good fight.
Hi Angie, I just wanted to say that I'm new to the site, and I really have enjoyed your videos. You speak very clearly and intelligently about a wide range of topics related to atheism and religion (the effects of which you felt quite vividly). While I'm still new to calling myself an atheist (I tend to prefer more positive words), I have been an atheist for about 20 years. Hearing other atheists speak up (and out) is helping me find my own voice. Thank you for being one of those who isn't afraid to stand up.
