Welcome to the community! I think that for the most part we are not the "in your face" kind of Atheists. At the same time, we tend not to subscribe to the "Everyone's beliefs deserve respect" philosophy either. People deserve a level of base respect, but ideas do not. When and how to deal with absurd idiologies and warped logic is what makes the difference between a "friendly Atheist" and and one of those "in-your-face" types. It's a delicate game trying to get someone to think without making them upset. Subtle is key.
