Hello Glen I am Zainab from Morocco where the Buddhist culture is very rare .... I haven't discivered Buddhism from very long (a month) it's a life style and a philosophy for me and it matches with my Godless based life especially that I am a spiritual person who wants to enjoy life peacefuly .
What i have enjoyed although I'm still having difficulties with is meditation .... I am still discovering more about Buddhism and everytime I learn more I love it more ....
Hi Glen thanks for the message /chat how's Texas? sorry left myself logged in and wasn't at my computer hope you don't think I ignored you, never been to Sydney myself glad you liked it though. have a groovy day
Greetings from Florida! I have found that when people find out about my beliefs, or lack thereof, they respect my choice to be an atheist. Bear in mind that I always publicly respect their choice(s) to believe even though I privately think they're batshit. It's good to meet you!
Yeah I saw that this morning. I think I sent you a message from your page, but I'm not completely sure. I will try to only be on when I am actually on. that way if you try to chat with me I should be able to answer.
Wow Glen, that's really impressive :)
I'm often surprised and let down by California, since other states are progressing faster than us on some hot topics, and we're the state with the reputation of being super liberal.
Thanks for your response. Believe it or not, I've ran into a few atheist bloggers on line from your area. I NEVER run into any from west Tennessee. I know of a handful throughout Texas, one in Missouri and one in Arkansas, but she's still a three or four hour drive from me. Though I've never personally met these people I've mentioned, I have grown to care for them and have considered them to be my friends for about a year.
I've been looking for a secular therapist for the past year out of the two years since I deconverted. As a Christian, I was certainly someone that you could call a "seeker". I've been it all among Christiandom: Full Gospel, Word of Faith, Methodist, Southern Baptist, Assemblies of God, Non-Denominational, Inter Denominational, Hope Chapel (basically a denomination within the Foursquare denomination), Morning Star International (goes by Every Nation now), Missionary Alliance and Church of God. I graduated from a Bible School in Dallas in 1993. Believe it or not, that's where my serious doubts began, but I didn't become an atheist until 2012! That's right, I spent half of my life STRONGLY doubting my faith.
