Why dosnt this site like to work with my computer?

Actually I am having issues with this site on any browser it would seem.. coding issue?

Things about my computer:

windows 7

windows firewall (default settings)

Firefox 3.6 (no addons)

IE 8

**Edited hosts file FROM HERE:

Please note: I will not cease using this edited hosts file I would rather stop using sites that it breaks, so this might be the last time I use this site.

I cant Post anything or update anything on my profile page.

I mainly use FireFox as does about 50% of internet users so you should: code for it & test in it

Normally I use a firewall or two but this is a fresh install and still testing things out on it, but I am at a bit of a loss as to why this site runs slow and dosnt work well for me..

I'm not a programmer by any means, but some info you should know... Think Atheist is based on the Ning Template. I wouldn't imagine that there is anything specific to TA that would cause the problem. To check this, I would go to Ning and try out some of their other sites and see if you have an issue with those as well. We are approaching 5000 members and this is the first that I've heard of this problem. Maybe someone here or at Ning can help you with a setting, but I don't see the formatting changing as it would affect more like 1,000,000 accounts at Ning. Good luck.

It's scorecardresearch.com. For some unknown reason, the Ning implementation here at T|A and some other (but not all) Ning sites is requiring javascript being allowed from scorecardresearch to do more and more. Initially, it was just the 'Add Comment' button. Then you couldn't log out without allowing it. Now the 'Latest comment' links don't work right without it.

There's some information on it here, but nothing new has been added in several months.

I use Firefox and windows 7 and I have no issues. I would make sure Javascript is enabled. If that doesn't work try uninstalling Firefox and installing it again.

"It's scorecardresearch.com" ahh thats the exact answer i was looking for thanks Dave G I can edit that entry out of the hosts file! well im glad I may not be the only person that ran into that.

So for anyone else that runs into that issue, just remove scorecardresearch.com from the hosts file thus re-allowing the links to work.
