What is wrong my love I often ask? ….

Nothing is the reply
As she continues to cry

Is it something I’ve done? or said? to hurt you so?
She continues to cry and shakes her head “No”

Do you want me to Stay? Do you want me to Go?
She shrugs her shoulders, says “I don’t know”

My head is going to explode my mind is in a spin
I need a drink Rum, Scotch, Brandy or Gin?

So I held her tight
With all my might

Convince her all will be alright.
Comforted her throughout the night

You see it’s not easy being a man
You must be there when you don’t understand

To look deep in her troubled eyes
Nothing but the truth never any lies

You will absorb her tears as they flow
And watch the love she has for you grow

There are times when you will not have a clue
Times when you have no idea what to do

You will be lost and sometimes confused
Do anything for the love you can’t lose
