This article, "Atheists Gather in Burbank: A Humanist’s Response" By Anthony B. Pinn
contains the following words:
"extremists (whether theists or non-theists) with their inability for critical self-reflection and critique."
I like to believe that Atheists generally are a saner, more honest group than religious types but simple non-belief is no guarantee. There must be examples out there of Atheist nut-cases. But who are they?
An individual may be completely out of touch with reality and have as one aspect of their delusion that there is no god. But where are they? I know belief in a god is not promoted by Scientology. Among Atheists a certain tension exists between various Marxisms and Objectivists. But I do not see any wacko, intolerant Anti-theists running around America oppressing god-fearing people.
So basically this article is an attempt by Anthony B. Pinn to curry favour among his theist friends by complaining about something that isn't happening.
Or perhaps I've missed something.
