Alabama Supreme Court Justice Believes 1st Amendment Only Applies t...

What a douchebag!  The dude is wrong in so many different ways, it's ridiculous. Not only does he have very little idea about comparative religion (he apparently thinks Buddhists believe Buddha created everything, and Muslims believe Muhammad created everything), but he also doesn't seem to understand the Constitution in the least.  Just for the sake of reference, here's the wording of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Now, how this asshole comes away from that thinking it only applies to Christians is beyond me.  But conservative nutjobs often say many things that I just can't understand.

More evidence of how religion distorts people's ability for rational thought..

I live in the UK, you are in the US, so it's your fight, not mine.  But seriously, what a dick.

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore is a right-wing crackpot's messiest wet dream. He'd make a fine addition to the Roberts Court, which ruled today that praying government is secular government and thus Constitutional. Some of the possible Republican candidates for president in 2016 would probably see Moore as the ideal kangaroo to appoint to the Supreme Court when the next justice dies or retires.

US Department of education ranks Alabama as below average in all 30 or 40 categories listed here:

I actually thought this assclown was no longer the chief justice there.

I am very glad I wasn't at the FFRF headquarters or the screaming in outrage at yesterday's SCOTUS ruling would have deafened me.  Of course I'd probably have been a participant in the screaming, myself.  As it was I was in a place where I couldn't cut loose when I heard about it.
