Thou Shalt not suffer a theist to live

Lets not turn into what we despise.

Religion will not be overcome by WAR... by hangings or burnings.....by limiting a persons freedom to believe what they wish.

Religion must be defeated by reason and logic and goodness and justice that are 'better' than what they are offering.

Its doubtful that it will ever be eradicated altogether, but its possible that it might eventually evolve into something helpfull and based upon the natural instead of the supernatural.

For at least 10000 years humans have been selecting for delusion, it is not likely, in the near future, that that legacy can be overcome. We will have the deluded with us for a long time, at best we can hope to minimize their effect on the rest of society. At the present they are a majority, but we have seen what a vocal minority can accomplish, so, keep on truckin.

I may be mistaken, but I do believe theists produce more children than non-theists. If evolution has anything to do with religiosity, then freethinkers might always be a small minority.

My knee-jerk reaction is that we need to get 'humping'...LITERALLY...lol... but I don't think a baby producing contest is the way to win this battle either. The sheer number of humans is already a problem that is only going to get worse if not checked in some way.

NO, we have to counter Theism in the right way to be effective. We have to be VOCAL....but smart about it. Counter goo and woo with skepticism and rational thinking and FACTS.

It would also be nice to be able to offer support for and direct people towards positive rational alternatives to the supernatural goo goo clusters (known as religions)

Humans ARE social animals and we DO better with support groups then without them..(generally speaking...there are always exceptions to the rule)

I think we need to focus on secular alternatives... Naturalist and humanist groups focused on community, communication, sharing, support, growth, education, etc......
