My name is Glea, and I joined "Think Atheist" last night. Made a couple friends, etc.
Imagine my surprise, when I logged on just now, to find my web page titled "Think Christian!" Have I missed something?
I tried reloading, re-logging-in... the top of the web page looks like this:

Have I overlooked a setting? Have we been hacked?

Comment by Rosemary LYNDALL WEMM on April 1, 2011 at 11:28pm Sorry I missed that joke. I logged in after it had been changed back again. But then I probably would have sprayed coffee all over my keyboard, too :-)
For you Glea, I promise to always Think Atheist - unless I am goading you to think something through carefully, of course.
Comment by Monica Salcedo (Monicks) on April 1, 2011 at 11:41pm Sorry I couldn't get back to you before, Glea. It wouldn't have been that funny had Morgan told anyone it was his April Fools joke, right? By the way, hadn't Morgan told me, I would had freaked out too.
Did anyone get fooled today anywhere else? Shoot! I missed all the fun. Bummer.
Comment by Kris Feenstra on April 1, 2011 at 11:55pm Google had a good run of it today. If you searched 'Helvetica', all of your results would come up written in comic sans. That one mostly cracked me up because of how nerdy it is.
They also promoted the launch of gmail motion, and revealed the truth behind autocomplete.

Comment by Cara Coleen on April 2, 2011 at 12:48am I had a worse experience than yours this morning.
I actually had my alarm set for April Fools at 7:55am. I thought that would give me enough warning for the day. I've been waking at 6:30am and leaving my house at 7:30am to arrive at 8am class. When I checked my email, I was pretty disgruntled to read a message from the agnostics, free thinkers and atheist group newsletter. The group (that I have yet to have a chance to visit) actually meets at a Unitarian church twice a month. The email said that, from now on, it was required that this group recite a prayer before the meeting got started... and to write this prayer down so everyone could read their aloud, to their chosen deity. It was recommended we pray to the generally accepted savior, Jesus Christ.
I was quick to unsubscribe and express my displeasure. Turns out, it was a joke... and my plan to alert myself to such pranks early in the morning failed. Next year, I'll have an alarm go off before going to bed on March 31st, and another at 5am. Maybe that'll work.
By the way, I asked to be added to their mailing list again, once they explained themselves.
