I Was Just Curious If Anyone Has Ever Read Or Skimmed Over Some Of Its Pages.
Does Anyone Know What It Has To Say About Anything?
Does It Have A Ten Commandments?
What Sort Of Philosophical World View Does It Have?
I Would Get It And Read It Myself, But I Feel Like That Would Be A Sh*t Storm With My Family That I Do Not Want To Start.
Cause Being An Atheist Is One Thing.
I Don't Want To Give People, Especially Close Minded Idiots, A Reason To Think That I Am Worshiping Their Evil Bad Guy.

Comment by Jay S on November 23, 2012 at 9:05pm Satanists are essentially athiests. They don't believe in any actual dieties.
Comment by Horacio Martinez on November 24, 2012 at 12:48am Thanks Marc :) Some of those aren't really all that bad. I mean, if you take out the word Satan, I'm sure a lot of people would agree with a lot of these things. The one that made me laugh was Satanic Rule #11 :) It's like, you're minding your own business, someone bothers you. You ask them to stop. They don't stop. So you DESTROY THEM!!! :) I thought that was pretty funny :) But I mean, Rule #5 I really appreciate. It says don't make sexual advances unless the other person says it's okay. To me, that sounds like Do Not Rape, which Do Not Rape is not found anywhere in the Holy Christian Bible. I have to say, for being Satanic, these aren't that bad :)
Comment by Suzanne Olson-Hyde on November 24, 2012 at 1:22am @ Thank you Marc for this info - I luv the majority of these rules - the xians should be following the majority of these rules, and everybody would be much happier.
Satanists obviously have a sense of humour, along with really good rules, which xians are sadly lacking.
One I am not partial to is Eleven Satanic Rules - No. 7. Acknowledge the power of magic etc.
I would change a word in No. 5 in The Nine Satanic Statements -Satan represents vengeance, instead of turning the other cheek - I call it Justice.
Otherwise, they are all good.
Comment by RobertPiano on November 24, 2012 at 8:38am To me it seems like a rest stop alongside one of the infinite paths towards atheism ;)
Comment by Ed on November 24, 2012 at 9:05am If only our humankind did not suffer Satanic Sin Number 5 we would certainly not be a minority any longer. The lament of all theists - "If only I wasn't a cow chewing cud."

Comment by archaeopteryx on November 24, 2012 at 1:55pm I get that these guys don't actually worship Satan, and that it's actually a satire on the church, but though I agree with most of the precepts above, two things bother me. One is that Satan is an imaginary creation of Humankind, just as is god, to imply, even in jest, belief in such an entity, is to continue fostering belief in the supernatural.
The second issue would concern those young, immature minds who don't grasp the irony, and take it seriously - there's a lot of Satanic material out there, written by many who are just as batshit crazy as theists, who could lead these kinds down some seriously dark paths.
An excellent book is "The Good Book" by A.C. Grayling. Here is the premise. It is well worth adding to the collection. Basically a secular bible.
