I Was Just Curious If Anyone Has Ever Read Or Skimmed Over Some Of Its Pages.

Does Anyone Know What It Has To Say About Anything?

Does It Have A Ten Commandments?

What Sort Of Philosophical World View Does It Have?

I Would Get It And Read It Myself, But I Feel Like That Would Be A Sh*t Storm With My Family That I Do Not Want To Start.

Cause Being An Atheist Is One Thing.

I Don't Want To Give People, Especially Close Minded Idiots, A Reason To Think That I Am Worshiping Their Evil Bad Guy.

Found this:
From Satanic Bible -Anton Szandor LaVey-

The Nine Satanic Sins (seems pretty reasonable to me)
1. Stupidity
2. Pretentiousness
3. Solipsism
4. Self-deceit
5. Herd Conformity
6. Lack of Perspective
7. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies
8. Counterproductive Pride
9. Lack of Aesthetics

The Eleven Satanic Rules
1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
9. Do not harm little children.
10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

The Nine Satanic Statements
1. Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence!
2. Satan represents vital existence, instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom, instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it, instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5. Satan represents vengeance, instead of turning the other cheek!
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic
7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than
those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual
development", has become the most vicious animal of all!
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or
emotional gratification!
9. Satan has been the best friend the church has ever had, as he has kept it in business all
these years!

Satanists are essentially athiests.  They don't believe in any actual dieties.

Thanks Marc :) Some of those aren't really all that bad. I mean, if you take out the word Satan, I'm sure a lot of people would agree with a lot of these things. The one that made me laugh was Satanic Rule #11 :) It's like, you're minding your own business, someone bothers you. You ask them to stop. They don't stop. So you DESTROY THEM!!! :) I thought that was pretty funny :) But I mean, Rule #5 I really appreciate. It says don't make sexual advances unless the other person says it's okay. To me, that sounds like Do Not Rape, which Do Not Rape is not found anywhere in the Holy Christian Bible. I have to say, for being Satanic, these aren't that bad :)

@ Thank you Marc for this info - I luv the majority of these rules - the xians should be following the majority of these rules, and everybody would be much happier.

Satanists obviously have a sense of humour, along with really good rules, which xians are sadly lacking.

One I am not partial to is Eleven Satanic Rules - No. 7. Acknowledge the power of magic etc.

I would change a word in No. 5 in The Nine Satanic Statements -Satan represents vengeance, instead of turning the other cheek - I call it Justice.

Otherwise, they are all good.

To me it seems like a rest stop alongside one of the infinite paths towards atheism ;)

If only our humankind did not suffer Satanic Sin Number 5 we would certainly not be a minority any longer. The lament of all theists - "If only I wasn't a cow chewing cud."

A rest stop that acknowledges the negative energy that is part of all humans

Point of inquiry did an episode on satanism a while back with Peter Gilmore, the high priest of the Church of Satan. He basically described it as atheism in costume. So members of the Church of Satan are a parody of Christianity and do not actually worship the Christian devil (or Ny other gods), whereas the generic term satanist can describe literal devil worshipers. Here's the link to the Point of Inquiry episode:

An excellent book is "The Good Book" by A.C. Grayling. Here is the premise. It is well worth adding to the collection. Basically a secular bible.

Horacio: None of these rules were meant to be taken exactly literally, or even obeyed. They are not really rules at all in the most used sense of the word. They were meant to describe the path of the Satanist to others so it can be understood. Rule 11, as with the others, describe the mentality of the satanist. If you're in public, don't bother others, and don't tolerate others bothering you... It really sounds like common sense, but most of the worlds religions are about subjegating you, making you meek, and dumbing you down. Satanism is about empowering yourself instead of subjegating yourself, pursuing intelligence intead of dumbing you down, and radical individualism instead of herd mentality.

RobertoPiano: It is athiesm, it's just a religious athiesm, just like humanism has a secular and a religious wing.

Archaeopteryx: I think a difference can be made between use of an archetype, and actual belief in a literal diety. I think that would be the difference regarding your comment about acknolwedging a diety.
