NEW YORK (ABP) -- A former Southern Baptist Convention officer who on June 2 called the death of abortion provider George Tiller an answer to prayer said later in the day he is also praying "imprecatory prayer" against President Obama.
Later in the interview, Colmes returned to Drake's answer to make sure he heard him right.
"Are you praying for his death?" Colmes asked.
"Yes," Drake replied.
"So you're praying for the death of the president of the United States?"
"Yes."
I can only hope that this message is clearly heard and gets a lot of press. The hate spewed right now will further push people away from religion. The downside is that words have consequences as the Tiller family would tell you.
I would suggest that God would be angry with this man and his suggestion anyways because of Romans 13:1. I love how contradictory the Bible is.
Romans 13:1 Let every person be subordinate to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been established by God.
This is the love the I see and feel from Christianity. This is the love I felt as a child for questioning Jesus's resurrection at Easter. You will know them by their deeds. Christian deeds are driving people to rational thought in droves.
