As an apostate, you'll find many difficulties making friends, living freely and your point will never be understood. So you start realizing the uselessness of debate and swear to never bring religious subjects and avoid overly religious zealots.

You never reveal yourself, you hang out with those who barely mention god and try to look for similarities in intellect, domain and habits. You joke with them, you make sure respect is mutual, you try to enjoy your mutual habits (smoking, drinking etc), jokes etc and life simply is much simpler without that religious barrier.

It's what I personally do. I really don't care what they believe in, I REALLY REALLY don't care. because those beliefs serve nothing but to set a basic world view for them, not me. and that doesn't prohibit us as humans to share things we all enjoy, so forget about religious background next time you see your religious neighbor and treat him with respect, some will do the same, some won't. if the respect is mutual you're all set for a new friendship, if not then just avoid like the plague.

Now of course you'll be asking yourself, Why can't they do the same towards me? Well if they did you wouldn't be an apostate in the first place now would you?
