THE EXEGESIS FOR THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS OF GENESIS

Whew!!!! I guess I struck a nerve here. I never in my wildest imagination imagined such a reaction from a group of humans. Thank you! I was beginning to think everyone was dead. Unfortunately, the reaction has so far been emotional--not much thinking going on yet. But, as G. Stanley Hall said 100 years ago: "The human intellect is a speck floating on a sea of emotion." One of you wants to know what my goal is. Well, it's to turn you all into Christians! Christians love me! But seriously, folks, my only goal is to expand Mr. Hall's speck a little bit. Maybe someone in your group can help me. Only time will tell.

So, what is it you are trying achieve, exactly?

Mr. Kimsis, why is everyone so focused on ME? Who am I, what is my agenda, who are my friends, etc., etc. Do you really care about me? Would you give me a lot of your money? This isn't about me. It's all about the exegesis for the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Genesis, which even atheists must admit is a historical document at the very least and has had immense influence upon human development. No one likes the exegesis, even atheists. So rip the thing to shreds. Look upon it as a challenge to make me look like a fool. Are you up to the task?

Maybe the blog is important.

My thoughts exactly Doone.... Where is this exegesis? I see the claim for it but no evidence. Did someone forget to post a link? This almost looks like a cut and paste job as it seems a reply to a strong reaction from many people?

It's looks like I made a wrong assumption. I assumed anyone googling The First Scandal Adam and Eve would click on www.thefirstscandal.blogspot.com It's right there at the bottom. Thank you for enlightening me.

Mr. Hagedorn - I don't see why I'd need to make anyone look like a fool. As for riping something apart - as Doone already mentioned, it's all nice and well thinking about Genesis, but in the end it is no more to the point as thinking about the Lord of the Rings. Which is about as historically accurate as Genesis. And far less self contradictory.
