alright. here we go again guys!
first things first. make sure you tune in to tonight's episode of the Think Atheist Radio Show. we'll be having a LIVE chat with philosopher and cognitive scientist Dr. Paul Thagard. Dr. Thagard's recent book The Brain and the Meaning of Life examines, through the the lens of the cognitive sciences, the questions that have occupied philosophers for decades and concludes that naturalism makes the most sense as a worldview. as always, remember that if you can't be with us live to hear Dr. Thagard you can always listen to each and every show from the archive at any time.
we've had already or are soon to have with us John Loftus, Valerie Tarico, Robert Price, Phil Plaitt, Matt McCormick, Sean Carroll, Gregory Dawes, Lawrence Krauss, Richard Carrier, Tom Clark, Michael Shermer, Taner Edis, Ophelia Benson, Stephen Law, Hector Avalos, Steven Novella, J. Anderson Thomson, and Daniel Everett. thousands have listened to the show already since we launched just a few weeks ago. why aren't you?

Comment by Gary Bergeron on May 29, 2011 at 12:34pm Philosophy, Astronomy, Physics, and even comedy (Harold Camping...sheesh), Sunday School has it all!
The Jesus Camp brainwashing vid scared the bejusus out of me. Especially the part where the counselor actually told the children to "go to war" with the bible's word. ô¿ô As James Randi once said: We must stand together or hang separately.
Thanks Nelson! Have a great weekend everybody! :)

Comment by Heiko Knipfelberg on May 29, 2011 at 5:22pm As to your article about Vacation Bible School at Fort Bragg. I was a Chaplain Assistant in the US Army for twemty-two years and was stationed at Fort Bragg. One of the reasons I am an atheist today is the US Army Chaplains Corps. The Chaplains Corps runs Vacation Bible School at every post in every country where family members are present. Every VBS I was associated with was nothing like the Jesus Camp video I have watched. It was your generic pablum that is pumped out to keep the children occupied for the better part of a morning so the adults can get on with whatever adults do when children are not present. I don't agree, but that is what I know from my association with the beast of organized religion.
