Thanks once again for the great links, Nelson. It seems to me that Greta Christina needs to talk to Daniel Dennett. One important reason (she didn't mention) that progressive believers are so tolerant of religious difference but really bristle at atheism is that many church-goers (like the ministers and priests in Dennett's recent study) are atheists or agnostics. If they pressed the theological differences too hard or were too accommodating of atheists, their pews would empty even faster than they already are.

The link tagged as "Bible writers intended to deceive" does not in fact lead to any article on this, but one concerning Paul Haggis' high-ranking defection from the Church of Scientology. While this was very interesting as well, I wonder what happened to the intended link?
