Have you guys found me on Google+ yet? I share Sunday School links on G+ as I find them each day; no waiting till Sunday! There's a great community of people I share the links and interact with. And on Twitter is where we do our book giveaways! If you connect with me at either place, let me know you found me through Sunday School, say hi!
So in just a few days we'll be starting the new year of the Think Atheist Radio Show. We already have some killer guests that we're working on. Just in the next couple of months we'll bring you discussions with philosophers, scientists, and journalists about all kinds of subjects that matter to freethinkers. Why does the Design Argument fail exactly? Why do people leave their religion? Why is religion natural and science unnatural? What about NASA and space exploration? Quantum Mechanics? How can the universe come from nothing? Church/state separation? The latest advancements in neuroscience? Did evolution hardwire us to develop culture, and why? And that's just the next couple of months!
In the meantime why not check out some of great interviews from this last year? We talked to former minister turned atheist, John Loftus; physicist and blogger at Cosmic Variance, Sean Carroll; astronomer and blogger at Bad Astronomy, Phil Plait; historian and philosopher Richard Carrier; arch skeptic and founder of Skeptic magazine, Michael Shermer; evangelist turned atheist and co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, Dan Barker; and James Randi himself, just to name a few! Go here for the full list of our shows with links to listen or download the mp3 for playback later on all your devices!
Remember, anyone wishing to donate to the Think Atheist Radio Show can always do that by visiting this page. Besides donating directly you can also support us by making sure that everything you buy from Amazon, now during the holidays and whenever, on into the future, you purchase via this link. When you use that link you'll pay no more and your packages will ship just as fast, but the Think Atheist Radio Show picks up a tiny fraction of Amazon's profits on each purchase as support. Remember, even though we've certainly carefully selected some reading suggestions for you to consider from the store, you can buy anything using this link, no matter if it's books or not. Thanks for your support!

Comment by Gary Bergeron on December 25, 2011 at 11:20am Juicy links as always, Nelson. The 10 people that mattered in 2011 was very interesting! The link to Coming Face To Face with Our Galaxy's Black Hole seems to be broken, hope it's fixed soon, looks inviting!
Happy Holidays to all! :)
Comment by Nelson on December 25, 2011 at 11:29am Sorry about that Gary! Should be fixed now. Here's the link so you don't have to go looking for it above. Thanks for the kind words as always!
Comment by Cecilia on December 25, 2011 at 11:49am Great links (of course)! RE: the distinction between skepticism and cynicism, a friend of mine has a great tag line on her e-mails: "Don't be too open minded, your brain might fall out." I think this is great and can apply to so many things from being open to woo woo stuff to being open to claims that one should be skeptical about, say, climate change or open to various and sundry conspiracy theories (e.g., the OBL thing discussed in the article).
Comment by Rob Lippmann on December 25, 2011 at 4:41pm Thanks again Nelson; and have a Really Nice Day! ;=)
I went to click on the "Galaxy's Black Hole" link, my cursor slipped an inch, and I ended up clicking on the Plantinga link instead. Come to think of it, I went to the right page after all! Heh heh...except "black" might not be the right kind of hole to describe Plantinga.
Comment by Nelson on December 25, 2011 at 4:44pm @Rob: Haha! Right! Clever. :)
Comment by Alan Huffman on December 25, 2011 at 6:11pm Thanks! Great links.
It was my understanding that Wallace gave precedence to Darwin because he was a senior member of society, and if Darwin had not published, Wallace would have. And perhaps, Darwin decided to publish before someone else could do it.
Comment by Andrew Viceroy on December 27, 2011 at 11:25pm I would like to see a whole book of research specifically targeting one oft heard fallacy: that the amount of religiosity (specifically Christianity) in America correlates with how much the country prospers, both as individuals and as a whole. It under-girds so many theistic arguments. Methinks Tom Rees would be just the man to do that right.
