I really liked the ex-atheist article as well. I think that it is particularly relevant given the recent discussions over S. E. Cupp's proclaimed atheism; she has expressed several fallacies which contradict a supposed lack of belief in god. For example, I have heard her describe herself as just an atheist rather than a militant atheist because she is "not angry with God." Like the article pointed out, how could any atheist even consider the possibility of being angry with a nonexistent entity?

Excellent point on the whole-S.E.Cupp-thing Shine. A little part in the back of my mind there too, and also why I linked to the No True Scotsman video. As I saw Bluradio mention somewhere, we can't let ourselves fall into that fallacy with S.E. - despite the fact that she fits very little of the already loose mold that atheists fit into.

Agreed, Johnny, I know that criticism of Cupp falls perilously close to a "Scotsman" fallacy. However, I still contend that her expressed ideology directly contradicts her chosen label of "atheist." I've been trying to argue my case in this thread: Religion Not a Delusion? I should probably just get over my laziness and actually write a cogent essay on it, lol.
