Wow, this means that we will be free from people trying to convert us to the Muslim religion that day right? Because they need to be praying?? HMMMM this seems like it could be a good thing.. I think we need to rewrite that book; That god is angry all the time, and they should there for spend all their waking hours praying and not trying to convert.. hmmm

Some one find me a qualified muslim I just became a prophet for them, it needs to be re written now!!

I doubt that is all Muslims.

Most islamic countries are still in the dark ages and have a lot of superstition, perhaps that is why?

ALL muslims believe that, adam! I was a muslim and I know! If you don't believe any part of Islam that came in quran and hadith then you're not a muslim!

 

In Islam

• An eclipse can cause people to become frightened. When frightened, Muslims turn to Allah for patience and perseverance.

Narrated Abu Bakr: Allah's Apostle said: "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah and they do not eclipse because of the death of someone, but Allah frightens His devotees with them."

 

So muslims become frightened and go pray for forgiveness because it's a sign of god's anger from their sins!

 

Unfortunately Jennifer, they don't all go and pray. They don't all have to, it's not an obligation and a must like the 5 prayers each day. Some people just pray dua'a(supplication) only.

The prayer in mosques is like the 5 prayers, with bending and prostrating!!

I doubt it, Especially Muslims who are intelligent. I am/was a Christian and I dont know everything about Christians and if I said all Christians did/believe X, it wouldnt be true.

@hope.. I feel pity for every religious person I see for believing in something that has been proven wrong!

 

@Adam.. If you are a muslim, You MUST believe in everything in quran and hadith(muhammed's words and actions) ... This is the second main rule of Islam after the belief of allah!! A 7 year old in an islamic school know this!

So doubt all you want, and if there are people who don't believe in Islam's eclipse claim, then (by allah's rule) they are not muslims even if they say so. They could believe in allah and his other stupid stuff but by definition they are not muslims!
