Strassman's Biological Research on 'Religious Experience'

Many have no doubt heard of Dr. Rick Strassman's research into biological explanations for 'religious' experiences. Birth, puberty and death are the most predictable elevations of endogenous DMT.

The bright light, the out of body sensation and other experiences could be no more than predictable effects of the human pineal gland. Only the subconscious mind can handle this, and I'm a big fan of the idea that the conscious mind can handle this. Superstition may be the philosophical appendix of the 3rd millennium.
