Days of crying into a pillow dreaming of running away
To somewhere special to somewhere I would be safe
Oh I thought that maybe I should join the club and see
About this miracle cure everyone says is around me
Holy ghost and speaking in tongues
No pants and no getting drunk
Sacrifice for a god that said believing would suffice
Until you read between the blood covered lines
There is no answer in their book at all
It’s just another way to deny who we are
They say there’s still time to come
And get in line with every one every one

A relationship of giving and playing the lottery
Following out of fear and not love sweetly
Because what if you’re wrong and those lakes of fire exist
