Ah, Steve Harvey. I remember him being on TV when I was younger. Never cared for him them, and now we see some of why. Judgmental and completely uninformed.

Steve Harvey's opinion is not necessarily relevant to the vast majority of people, but the fact that he was on a very popular television program demonizing atheists is a point of contention for me. He is reinforcing negative stereotypes, and Tyra Banks simply sat there and said nothing, likely too afraid of losing ratings with her right wing conservative viewers to question Harvey's ignorant opinions and blatant disregard for logic.
Some might say Harvey is entitled to say what he believes to the public, but the simple truth is that not all opinions are created equal and, in this case, his certainly falls below what could be considered adequately educated. Unfortunately, it is very safe to assume that there is a vast majority of people who sat, wide-eyed, in their living rooms and nodded their heads in fervent agreement while their hatred for freethinkers and atheists deepened.
I'm not saying this bigotry is going to cause a riot or drive a sane person to kill anyone, but the atheist witch hunt exists, and it's not a minor problem. It's socially accepted discrimination.
