What would happen to the world in general, do you think, if some diabolical cabal managed to trigger Tsar scale (60 megatons or so) thermonuclear devices in Jerusalem, Mecca, and the Vatican?

The remaining zealots would be even more pious because clearly they had angered god. Bring me a Virgin for sacrifice!

Israel is so small, I wonder how many citizens would survive, long-term? And wouldn't Israel retaliate by launching their nuclear weapons at Iran (and, perhaps, other Arab nations)?

After the disaster, I hope U.S. citizens start a movement to build a colossal cathedral at Mecca's ground zero.

No, seriously . . . I think adherents of the 3 major Abrahamic religions would have to wonder what it all means: why were the holiest places of all 3 religions targeted? If only 1 religion suffered losses, then the other 2 might feel some sort of providential vindication. But if 2 of the 3 religions suffered losses, then the remaining one would surely claim divine protection and providence.

With all 3 religions hit simultaneously, it would appear that the Abrahamic God is missing in action. I think religious faith would be shaken around the world.

The Middle East turned into a parking lot? I imagine a lot of cheers and celebration from Middle America.

Followed by a lot of bellyaching on the cost to fuel up their F250's.
