Somedays I feel like witnessing...

Often times I find myself walking around the mall or in and out of stores and there are folks who feel like witnessing to me (witnessing is street mission work for those unfamiliar with the Christian term). Most times I'm in a hurry or they catch me when I am to tired to argue responsibly, so I kindly say, "I'm not interested," or "I'm an atheist," without stopping to give them time to argue. Then there are days where I feel like doing some of my own witnessing myself.

I would like to stand outside a building and talk about my book with all the Answers. You might have heard of this great book, it really doesn't have all the answers but it answers one major questions, "How did we get here?" This great book I speak of, Charles Darwin's "The Origin of Species."

I would call out to to people as they passed, "Let me share with you the knowledge that Brother Charles has found!" I could tell them that don't worry you weren't made from clay you aren't nothing but dirt animated for the amusement of some being. That they don't have to drop to their knees for some overbearing lord. They were free to mate with someone that found attractive and with qualities that they thought would further the species. They were free to practice natural selection, and they were free to practice practicing natural selection with a multitude of mates till they found one that was right.

No more did they have to sing praise to an unknown ruler. Now they can have a two day weekend instead of a day and a half. With this added half a day they can finally get to all those chores or hobbies they prayed they would have time to get too.

So maybe I should witness, at least the seed may get planted in someones mind, and soon ofter the logic tree see bloom.

Atheists definitely witness, and it's awesome. That's how I escaped the clutches of christianity. Can't thank that guy enough!
