So I clicked on the christian ad... and this is what I found from clicking on the google ad on TA

My name is Beth Fisher. I'm a full-time mom of 3 from Asheville, NC and a devout christian and believer in Good things happening to Good people. Despite my full time job of taking care of the household (and, YES, it is a full time job!), I found great part-time employment on my computer from home! I work about 15 hours a week and bring in an extra $1300/week on average. I love what I do, I can stay home with my kids and still make money on the computer, and anybody can do it! Read my article below to see exactly how.

So I kept scrolling down and I found this little nugget

By Sandra
So after reading all of these success stories I decided to give the money system a try for myself. I got the kit right away and started trying to make it work for me. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to figure out how to do the jobs and postings that they wanted me to. I am not very computer savvy so that may have something to do with it. I am very sad as I really thought this was an answer to my prayers :(

Then one last one with the site scammer/creators response to a reply

Beth - I purchased the kit after reading your blog and so far have had a little luck. I was able to make $1000 last week, but it took me around 40 hours to accomplish this. You mention that you have managed to cut your work week down to 20 hours or so. How do you go about doing this? I have a newborn son that I want to spend more time with, but as it is, I am strapped to the computer most of the day working.

Her Reply(scammer/creator)

@Matt - First off, congratulations. $1,000 a week from home is an AMAZING accomplishment. You are truly blessed.

haha what? He is blessed because your crappy scam ware makes him do slave work?

When will people ever learn. There is no get rich scheme on the internet.

Oh wait...

Then I started thinking "wait this is a christian web site" they will follow/believe anything :P

sad... just sad

Do you think christians are more prone to joining/signing up for this sort of thing?

I've noticed these ad's floating around as well in the internet. People obviously don't know a scam when they see one.

If you fall for talking snakes and donkeys, chances are you'll fall for a snake oil salesman.

I know for a fact that Christians will ingest anything as long as it has a "Christian" label. I don't know, maybe it's like having the mark of the FDA on some product; but who's monitoring what gets that label? No one. Anyone can label anything "Christian" and it doesn't occur to these people that others are out to take advantage of them. I remember reading a book (whilst still Christian) called Captivating. Its purpose was to give women relationship advice, but it was HORRIBLE advice and I couldn't believe it was so popular! I think that was one of the moments when I was like, WTF is really happening here??

Cara it would be interesting to see some of the examples/advice the book gave.

Alright... so there was a scenario in the book and it accompanied a bit of advice:

There's this married couple; the wife feels emotionally neglected (typical problem). Because this book it targeted at women, his side is not taken into account at all; it's assumed she's the victim of his insensitivity. She comes up with a plan, using her womanly wiles as bait. She sends the kids the grandma's and cooks a romantic, candle-lit dinner. Throughout their meal, she's very flirty (unbuttoning her shirt, playing footsie, etc...) and they end up making love. I'm not sure if it was the next night or the next week, but she sets it up the same. Right when they're about to disrobe, she stops him and says something to the effect of "Do you love my heart or my body? Until you're willing to be emotionally available, I won't be physically available" and they don't continue.

I don't remember if he came around. All I could think was how cruel it was to trick this guy, get him all hot and bothered, and then leave him hanging. I mean, maybe she should've planned their evening alone sooner; maybe he was emotionally unavailable because she hadn't been physically available; maybe the kids should've gone to grandma's more often...

Basically, a large portion of the book suggested women use sex as leverage. I was pissed for a looong time about it.

I do think they are more prone to fall for scams, if they have the words pray and blessed in it. My mother-in-law has spent tens of thousands of dollars on these scams. She actually has a stoarge shed full of boxes with the materials she has gotten from scams. What sets her off on these get rich quick schemes you may ask...almost a decade ago she recieved a letter in the mail saying that god wants to bless her life and that she should have been a millionaire when she was young, but the devil created road blocks and now as a devout believer she must take every chance she can in order to reap the riches that god has for her.

No lie, that's what it said. And according to my husband it's not the first time she has been sucked in by people telling her that. It's crazy. Everytime she blows money on these things she says god placed it on her heart that this was the way to make her riches here on Earth, and when they fail (like they always do) she just says that god had better plans for her, and that she can't understand all his plans but she knows he is doing what is best for her.
