Smite Check!
First thing first: How are we doing on the smitings?
I had given ample opportunity for smitage: I flew from Portland ME to Columbus OH in January, then drove back across New York (during a Lake Effect snowstorm I'll add!) and didn't even have anything that can remotely be construed as a smiting. Not a bruise, not a bump, not a fender-bender or so much as a hangnail.
Now, when I did get home, Mom tells me that she had her whole @%$#^ church praying for my safe return. Well that's just wonderful.
So, did anyone else get smat upon in my stead? Let's check in, please.

I'm happy to say that the worst "smiting" that happened to me was bad traffic. Though you might be able to argue that my horrible manicure was a smiting.

And lo, the Almighty was angered, and he didst to smite Alexander with a terrible manicure. Thus didst he leaveth a small tip.
Yeah, just doesn't have the same oomph as you'd expect from a smiting.
What about the rest of you? Smitings? Reports of smitings? Any faces melt?
