Should radio stations be able to deny your attempt to buy airtime?

Here in the Ozarks I am beset with God & America country music stations and Christian radio broadcasts. I listen to a local oldies channel and without fail there is the ever present commercials to "Come pray with us and visit the Lord at XYZ church." I was wondering what the reaction would be if I called and asked about buying a "spot" to voice my atheistic stance. Could they refuse my request? If so, on what grounds? I mean it would almost be worth the $500 or so bucks to get some airtime.

The thoughts on what to actually say are entertaining as well. I would be a fool to reveal my personally identity as my personal safety and possessions could be placed at risk. Around here people "filled with the Lord" have next to no patience with the Devil's Keeper.

While I love the idea, and have no doubt that it would cause some highly entertaining unrest by team god, I think the station is well within their right, and legal boundaries, to choose who advertises with them. It’s unfair yes, but they could very well lose their consistent Jesus based revenue stream if they start allowing any opposing message. Of course this is yet another example of the atheists getting screwed over, and having unequal representation, but a station is a private business and as such is free to decide who’s propaganda they spew on the airways.  You should still give it a shot though!
