I'm hoping I'm not the only one here who watches the Science Channel. They're on an upswing of really good, quality shows after a few years of drivel. I'm very excited for all the new shows. I'm wondering if anyone would like to join me in watching/discussing them after new episodes have aired. We could find a time after the show to discuss, or chat while watching the show. I prefer having people to talk with during the show, but I'd be willing set up a chat for a later date. There are several shows I'm interested in, including Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman, Wonders of the Solar System (with Brian Cox), and a new show airing in August, Curiosity. Curiosity's first episode is titled, "Did god create the universe?" Should be interesting! I'm also open to other shows/channels/books/movies/what-have-you.

I've got Skype, Yahoo, Trillian, and Google Talk.

This also sort of ties into a journal entry I did about being stuck in my house, going crazy. Having people to talk to about these things would most definitely keep me sane!

If you're not comfortable sharing your messenger information, feel free to message me. I mostly want to get an idea of who would be interested in something like this. :)

I never watch anything when it airs, otherwise I'd be down to do something like this. Great idea.

Would you be willing to watch it when it airs? Or would you watch it later? What shows would you be interested in? I'm open to more than just what I've listed. I'm just especially interested in those, lol.

It seems like a good idea to me. Unfortunately I am not one of those who are blessed with the science channel ;) but I have seen some of the shows you mention. I appreciate all shows of science - even the ones that are a little bit outdated like the ones with Carl Sagan.

Alright, well. Maybe my picking one show is too narrow. Maybe I could just use the show's topic, and then go from there. I'm open to suggestions! I just don't even know where to start, lol. Do I just pick a date and hope people log on?

It's your choice but I think if you want a discussion going in this type of forum it is better to pick a show and list some of the science facts presented that you find interesting. Then maybe people will starting filling in their views or impressions of the show and the presented facts.

I'm thinking more along the lines of a yahoo chat kind of thing, so it's live. I like the forums, but they can get tedious...

Sounds like a good idea. I hate not having people to talk with
