Hello everyone.
What I am about to describe happens to me from time to time.
I went to walgreens to do a little shopping and this woman who is attends the church one of my relatives. and I guess she felt obligated to try to save my soul. She sees me, walks up to me and says, "Did you know without Jesus or god you'll go to hell?" to which I responded "Did you know you could save up to 15% on your car insurance using Geico?"
LoL....It just kind of slipped out and she let out a gasp and gave me a funny look. I turned and walked away and finished my shopping.

I'm a smartass by nature and when someone goes out of their way to shove their beliefs down my face when I am out and about I tend to react in a smart ass way. I don't go up to people and say "Ma'am did you know there's no god?" There is a time and a place to express those ideas. This time this person knew me somewhat. But I have had complete strangers come up to me and say the same type of thing she did. It frustrates me to my core. It's ok for theists to cram their ideas down ppls faces at any given chance. But if non-believers did it. I highly doubt that practice would be as widely accepted.

The analogy is a very apt one, James.

Did you know, you're a Sunworshipper, madam? :) But your answer was also very adequate :)

When someone asks if I know Jesus, I look at them and with a straight face tell them yes. I am Jesus. I figure this claim has just as much merit as theirs do.

Well, having a family of Christians, and God fearing people, I am gonna have to remember the geico one that is good! lol..

I understand what you mean about people shoving it in your face though, Kind of like on Facebook I post all kinds of stuff there, my family gets offended and sends me prayers, I usually respond with did I come to your page and post under one of your prayers how there is no GOD? They say no? I say ok don't clutter my in box with your shit then.. I get tired of it.

That is hilarious! I'm sure it irked you, but you handled it well. I guess you can just feel loved because a random busybody is that worried about your soul.
