"Okay, I don't pretend to be as intelligent as you guys — you're obviously very well read. But I read the Bible, and nothing you say can convince me that God does not exist. I feel him in my heart, and you can feel him too, if you'll just ask him into your life. "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son into the world, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish from the earth." John 3:16."
someone needs to do a god damn experiment relating the "feeling of god" to a simple chemical brain function change caused by HOPE. Jesus H Fucking Christ that would be nice. but noooooo it's "immoral" to disprove christianity because (the republican party wouldn't exist without it) God says its wrong!
Comment by John Kelly on December 3, 2011 at 4:19pm The parasite argument is funny, but is a strawman logical fallacy. Actually I don't really find logical fallacies funny as I have a natural ability to spot them better than most, but I can recognize what constitutes funny on a basis of social acceptance. Parasites have a dependent relationship on the host. If God was real, and had to sustain himself by indwelling hosts like that old episode of Star Trek TNG, then it wouldn't be flawed.
Comment by John Kelly on December 3, 2011 at 4:33pm Lol, now that was funny. But if most of your jokes won't make sense anyway, I would have gotten bored. I go only to parties with people who use real wit with their humor. Or really good food.
