Ray Comfort Strikes Again: What Atheists Believe

The latest example of Ray talking out of his ass. Good for a chuckle. WARNING: May cause headache and nausea.

Excerpt from his blog:

Atheists believe that gravity thinks intelligently, makes plans, and then creates the concept it has in mind. In this case, gravity created the water cycle. Perhaps you object to my saying that gravity must be intelligent to come up with the concept of the water cycle and then actually create it. Perhaps you think that gravity is mindless, and created it without thinking. I don't think so. I am in awe of the water cycle and couldn't imagine the most intelligent of human beings coming up with it.

But according to atheists, gravity didn't create alone. Its partner was heat. The two of them came up with the concept of water, vapor, clouds, rain, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, snow, evaporation, air, condensation, and then created them and caused them to work throughout the earth in perfect harmony. Atheism brings new meaning to the word "absurd."

Also, the concept of the god you don't believe in doesn't exist. He is a figment of your fertile and faith-filled imagination. The Creator is not your water-boy. Don't believe the television preachers that tell you that He will come running when you click your sinful fingers. He withholds the blessing of live-giving rain when a nation gives itself to evil and at the same time professes itself to be good.

Keep in mind that this comes from the same mind as the infamous "banana" argument. I don't know much about Mr. Comfort, except that when he says something I get really uncomfortable, because he obviously was a super-sheltered child and has never opened his mind to the possibility that his parents might have been wrong.

We must tell almighty Gravity so that he may construct a plan of attack.

I have a long held suspicion that Ray Comfort is a defective animatronic robot from the 'It's a Small World' ride at Disney.  After some wiring came loose, he went rogue and found God.

I knew better than this way before 2nd grade. Comfort has to be brain-damaged or something to be as astonishingly stupid as he is.

This has got to be some kind of joke.Call me optimistic but I think people with this level ignorance are getting less common and even less often taken seriously than ever before. Especially amongst generation Y and younger.

Ray is always good for a laugh, but it's an uncomfortable kind of a laugh. This little screed is weird. First he mocks atheists for thinking gravity has intelligence (WTF?), but then he goes on to say that gravity invented the water cycle? I don't know, that paragraph is hard to parse. The next two aren't much better.

I’m starting to think that Ray has devoted his life to the ultimate joke. Think about it, he has both sides invested in his antics. The religious nuts spout his nonsense in support of their beliefs and atheists engage him in serious debate in an attempt to debunk his claims. The shit he spews is just absurd.  There’s no way this guys is real. I bet when he dies, it will finally be revealed to the world that he was just fucking with us and we’ll all have a big laugh…
