The very fact that there is even a debate over whether God exists is surely a huge red-flag. To put it another way; If a God existed, and he wanted us to know it, why wouldn't it be incredibly obvious to everyone?
The fact that people have to make excuses, and come up with convoluted logical arguments, means that any God out there either can't or won't make himself known. Why not?
On the other hand, science *does not* claim omniscience. We have to examine the universe to discover it.
